Tygressa was born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. She found her voice and love for music at a very young age, singing at home with her mom and four older siblings. “Music was always in our home.” She grew her talent and honed her craft of performing throughout grade school chorus, neighborhood talent showcases, and later found herself a three-time contestant and two-time, first place winner at Amateur Night at The World Famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York.


Also known for her sultry yet soulful styled tribute show, Tygressa Sings Natalie...Remembering Natalie Cole, a tribute, Tygressa and the Natalie Cole Tribute Band captivates audiences repeatedly and have performed on notable stages, such as the historic and legendary Blues Alley, Birchmere Music Hall, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and more.


Tygressa remarks “I’ve always had the desire to create and record original music. Pre pandemic, my professional life was on “1000” and not much time, if any, was focused on a personal agenda. During the pandemic, when we were all forced to “halt,” I used the time to reassess a lot, while balancing time collaborating and creating new music. Post pandemic is the birth of my first EP and a dream finally realized. I am blessed beyond measure.”


Tygressa's explosive new single "A Minute With You" has been well received at Radio Airplay Network Affilate WHTL 95.2 FM In Cleveland, Ohio where it is enjoying heavy rotation and rapidly becoming a much requested listener favorite. Programmers: Tygressa is the one to watch!
