Artists can be dime-a-dozen, but there is only one Jay Candy. Hailing from the elite Houston music scene, Singer/Producer Jay Candy (aka Tha Candy Man) began hitting the ground running in the music realm in 2008, and since that time has manifested into a versatile and multifaceted artist that has garnered an insatiable buzz with his artistic merit and innovative craft; and has no intention of slowing down his momentum anytime soon.

Since gracing the stage early on in his career, Jay Candy began opening for a vast array of hip hop artists in the Houston area. His soulful signature sound is one that touches on both originality and familiarity; and is able to take you back to the era of R&B we have all come to know and love, reminiscent of some of the genre’s most inspiration industry heavyweights including Boyz 2 Men, Gerald Levert, Jodeci, and many others.

Jay over the years has released a series of mixtapes for his fans, which has garnered him critical acclaim and positive reception throughout the Houston scene and its surroundings. He was also prominently recognized as one of the area’s top five male R&B singers, tallying in at #3. Jay is currently grinding in the studio and working on new material. He has recently collaborated with New York native and songwriter, Shirley Goines.

The collaborative single “Fire” is slated to be released this year on independent label, Global Harmony Records, and will be available on all mainstream digital music retailers.
